Organizing an Accessible Website:
Why & How to Make Your Website
Accessible to People of All Abilities

Presented By

Alison Kollee
The Law Office of Allison R Kollee

The new American with Disabilities (ADA) lawsuits are all about website accessibility.  Learn why ensuring your website is accessible is important, what the standards are, and best practices to make it happen.

Alison Kollee is a native of Southern California, growing up in the San Fernando and Conejo valleys.  She ventured up to Washington state for college, attending the University of Washington.  After graduating from undergrad she ran her own tutoring business before attending law school at the University of Southern California.  During law school Alison clerked at various companies and firms.  Upon graduation she joined The Cheesecake Factory’s legal department, where she was a valued team member for close to 9 years.  In 2020 Alison left The Cheesecake Factory to start her own law firm which serves the transactional needs of businesses, including The Cheesecake Factory as outside counsel.  Her practice focuses on contract drafting/negotiation, trademark filings, website terms and ADA compliance, other transactional matters, and providing her clients with reliable advice and counsel.  She prides herself in always maintaining her high ethical standards in her business, providing the best counsel to her clients, maintaining long lasting relationships with her clients, and being able to translate difficult or complex issues into concepts which are easily understood by the non-lawyer.  When Alison is not working, she enjoys spending quality time with her firefighter husband, her three adorable children, and two rambunctious dogs.

Mentor of the Month

Robyn Reynolds

Robyn Reynolds was bound to be a professional organizer, eventually furthering her status by becoming a certified professional organizer. Organizing was something she has always done but for fun. It gives her great joy to organize and re-organize things in her home. Little did she know it was actually a profession and that she could make a living doing something she loved. While reading a magazine she found out about the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO). At that point I knew this was what she wanted to do, immediately became a member and launched her business. This was way back in 2008. And here we are today, many years later, having helped hundreds of families.

Beyond her natural ability for organization and her entrepreneurial spirit, the key to Robyn’s continued success has been her steadfast need to give back. Not only does she have a long-time involvement with NAPO (National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals), she is also a Golden Circle Member, is a past Board member of the NAPO Los Angeles Chapter as, and was Co-Chair of the 2012 Organizing Awards. She is also a volunteer within her community. She has been involved with numerous local charities such as Kidsave, Dress for Success, Soles for Souls, One Warm Coat to name a few.

Robyn has been quoted in the Huffington Post, Yahoo.com, Woman’s Day magazine and numerous other publications, and she has also worked on the television show “Hoarders.” Not to mention she is a published author of “A to Zen: 26 tips to inspire organization.” Robyn’s book offers easy-to-follow tips for homeowners to build a life based on organization, routine and simplicity all leading to greater personal fulfillment. If organization skills are a genetic trait, it is a dominant gene for Robyn who was found organizing stuffed animals by size, shape and color before she could walk.

As an entrepreneur, Robyn, has grown Organize2Harmonize from one woman taking on residential projects to managing multiple projects with teams simultaneous across the Greater Los Angeles Area. She has earned the respect of celebrities as a true professional and continues to build and expand her business.

When Robyn is not organizing and harmonizing her clients, she is spending time with her teen daughter, whom she treasures, and leads a healthy lifestyle.
