This is a special two-part POLA class. In these challenging times of inequality, how can you generate actions from being an ally, to becoming a co-conspirator? If you have been asking yourself this but don’t know where to start this journey, this 2-part class is for you! This series takes a deeper dive into racism, stereotypes and prejudice and examining our own biases and socialization around "differences." As a NAPO member and professional organizer, Cindy Levitt has expanded her organizing business to include Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Training, creating curriculum within the organizing industry and combining her two passions. This 2-part series is an interactive class to help you jumpstart the work. Participants are encouraged to come with their own personal questions and real-life situations to process with Cindy's guidance. In these workshops, you will develop a better understanding of how social inequalities are perpetuated. You will learn actionable ways to make a difference in your life and business, helping you on your continuous journey from being an Ally to becoming a Co-Conspirator.

Join Cindy for this special two-part series on Diversity, meant to be experienced LIVE. Each 2-hour workshop will help you gain a deeper understanding of how to build your commitment to Anti-Racism work.

In this class you will:

  • Explore the Helms Model of White Racial Identity Development
  • Define racism, stereotypes, prejudice, etc. and discuss with examples
  • Engage in Critical Analysis of how we got here: examine the difficult history of the U.S.
  • Discuss best practices in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion work
  • Attain a Deeper Understanding of what being an Ally or Co-conspirator is: define the differences
  • Think about Concrete Actionable Ways to do the work
  • Incorporate Multiple Perspectives in your life and business
