Digital Organizing:
Fear of Folders, Emptying the Trash, and So Much More!

Presented By
Nancy Spear

Are your clients overwhelmed by digital clutter?  Older seniors and younger generations alike often allow digital clutter to build up, making it difficult to locate files, figure out which contact is most recent, and on and on.  Nancy will teach us how to implement techniques so we can gently help our clients organize their desktops, devices, cables, & wires, so no one is overwhelmed.

Nancy Spear
Nancy's Tech Help for Older Adults

Nancy Spear is the owner of Nancy’s Tech Help for Older Adults.

After years of working in customer service and computer software, she realized she had a disposition for putting people at ease. Working with her own aging parents, she knew there was a need for a patient tech teacher.

She calmly teaches her clients how to use their tech devices. These days, she’s teaching a lot of Zoom, in addition to how to order groceries on Instacart and dinner on DoorDash. She then creates custom instruction sheets so they can do it on their own.

She’s working remotely with a screen-sharing program. She misses seeing her clients in person, but realizes we all have to adapt. The screen-sharing is working out beautifully.

She is a native of Los Angeles and lives in Culver City with her husband and their big, floppy dog. Their son moved to upstate New York in January. Their daughter recently went back to start her junior year of college in North Carolina -- Nancy put her on the plane with a face mask, a face shield, hand sanitizer, anti-bacterial wipes and would have bubble wrapped her if she could.

Nancy spends her time working, walking the dog, and helping her mother and in-laws with their iPhones and computers.
