What Every Organizer Should Know About
the Wide, Wide World of Aging Services

This is a Teleclass

AUGUST 27, 2015 (Thursday, 5–6 PM PT)

“Grow old along with me! The best is yet to be.”

When Robert Browning wrote these iconic words in 1864, general life expectancy was approximately 40 years old. Since that time, health care advances and technological innovations have dramatically increased life expectancy around the world. What does it mean for you, as an organizer?

This lively, interactive session will explore many aspects of the wide spectrum of senior services. We will journey through some of the most frequently asked questions about working specifically with senior clients. Part live listserv/part glossary/part “crash course” in aging services, this session will help you work more effectively in the growing field of the “wide, wide world of aging.”

Learning Objectives:

  • Discover the rapidly growing field of aging services as a business-booster!
  • Learn some of the key “lingo” used by senior living professionals and your potential referral sources.
  • Hear how to successfully connect with key referral sources.
  • Understand the scope of “The Aging Network,” and why you need to be “in it to win it.”
  • Find answers to your most frequently asked questions (FAQs) about working in aging services.
