Unexpected Disasters or Simple Hard Drive Crashes Can Wipe Out Your Family's Treasures

Events such as tornadoes, floods, or fires can bring with them great loss and misfortune. This includes the unexpected loss of your family's treasures such as photos, videos, and documents.

However, in the digital age we live in, it does not take a natural disaster to wipe out these cherished mementos. A crashed hard drive, lost cell phone, or misplaced SD card can have the same impact, causing your photos and treasured memorabilia to simply vaporize in an instant.

SAVE YOUR PHOTOS DAY - SEPTEMBER 26, 2015

Save Your Photos Day is dedicated to sharing ways to safeguard, recover, or restore your photos and treasured memorabilia!

Save Your Photos Day offers the opportunity to connect through local community events, activities, and resources that highlight what they can do to safeguard your photos and treasured memorabilia before disasters or accidents occur. Save Your Photos Day has been set aside as an annual event, with participation expected from around the world.

Save Your Photos Day is endorsed by NAPO as part of National Preparedness Month. NAPO encourages you and your Chapter to participate in International Save Your Photos Day. Last year there were over 53 events in 23 states and three countries, and we have a much larger goal for 2015.

Please think about creating an event or otherwise incorporating International Save Your Photos Day into another Chapter activity already on your calendar.
