Professional Boundaries for Professional Organizers

Know and Communicate Your Limits

presented by

Dr. Richard Lyon, Ph.D.

An unhealthy “need to be needed” can jeopardize our physical, emotional and relational health. We will discuss how to recognize the stress symptoms of inadequate boundaries. We will also discuss how to set healthy boundaries to enhance our professional longevity and effectiveness. In addition, we will specifically examine how to choose the right words to assert ourselves, without alienating our clients.

Dr. Richard Lyon practices as a psychotherapist and mediator, with offices in La Crescenta-Montrose and Northridge, California.  He received his Masters of Divinity Degree from Fuller Seminary, and his Ph.D. in Human Development from Claremont Graduate University. As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, his specialties include Couples Therapy, Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Christian Counseling and Career Transitions.  His mediation work includes families, businesses and non-profit organizations.
