January Chapter Meeting

Monday, January 23, 2017

 6:15 pm - 8:30 pm

Leadership:  In NAPO, Your Business, Your Life

(A Members Only Meeting)

The 2017 NAPO-LA Leadership Forum is a special presentation by NAPO Board Member and LA Chapter member, Regina Lark. This is a great opportunity to hear about NAPO from a broader perspective, as our industry is growing and changing rapidly.

As a representative of the NAPO National Board, she will share with us her Top 10 Tips for leveraging your NAPO membership, ideas to maximize your Chapter and Conference experiences, and member opportunities to contribute toward the growth and future of NAPO on both a local and a national level.

Growth – of NAPO, our Chapter, our business, our lives – happens when we shift our mindset and embrace the concepts of “conceive, believe, and achieve,” to become the leaders we were always meant to be.

About our Speaker:

Dr. Regina Lark, Ph.D., started A Clear Path: Professional Organizing and Productivity in September 2008, joining NAPO and NAPO-LA at the same time. The following year, she volunteered to serve on the Chapter Board as its secretary, and has been on the NAPO-LA Board ever since. At the national level, Regina chaired the NAPO Education committee (2011-2014) and was elected to the National Board in 2015.

In 2011, Regina earned certification as a professional organizer (CPO®), became a certified specialist in chronic disorganization (CPO-CD®) three years later. She is a nationally recognized speaker on the topics of organization, ADHD, and hoarding.  A member of the National Speakers Association, Regina keynotes on women’s leadership and empowerment. She has presented concurrent sessions at NAPO San Francisco/Bay Area Regional Conference (2013, 2014) and NAPO National Conference (2015)

The author of two books, Psychic Debris, Crowded Closets: The Relationship between the Stuff in Your Head and What’s Under Your Bed (2nd ed., Purple Books, 2014) and, Before the Big O: Professional Organizers Talk about Life Before Organizing (Purple Books, 2013), Regina has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, and other print media. In 2016, she was named one of Los Angeles’ Top 10 Organizers by CBS/KCAL Channel 2, and was awarded “Most Innovative Organizer” in 2013 at the Annual Organizing Awards.  Regina is currently writing additional chapters for the Psychic Debris book, and plans to create an audio book from that project.

A Ph.D. in History from the University of Southern California, Regina Lark is a recognized expert on the immigration and marriage practices of Japanese War Brides.

Our Opportunity Drawing will return at the February Meeting.
