Learning the Value in the Trash and the Treasures:

A Discussion with a Panel of Vintage Specialists

Facilitator: Margot Gerber

Margot Gerber has a life-long interest in how people lived in the past, first discovered through such children’s books as Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House on the Prairie series. She loves to explore cultural history through physical objects from the past – from advertising, clothing, movies, music, recipes and architecture. Her interests led to her volunteer work with non-profits focused in historic preservation. She is currently the vice president of the Art Deco Society and a past Board member of Hollywood Heritage. By day she works as the marketing and publicity director for the American Cinematheque out of the historic landmark, the Egyptian Theatre, home of the first Hollywood movie premiere. margot@americancinematheque.com   http://www.americancinematheque.com @SidGrauman
