Actress and Comedienne Sherri Shepherd mentions her upcoming hosting project: The 2008 Los Angeles Organizing Awards.
Sherri Shepherd, co-host of ABC-TV's "The View," hosted the Third Annual Los Angeles Organizing Awards, presented by the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO-LA). The Awards honor the best in the organizing industry, including professional organizers who set the standard for home and business productivity, and products and services that help consumers and businesses organize everything, including information, as well as manage their time and control habits that can lead to clutter and chaos.
Shepherd presided at the February 1, 2008 event held at the Luxe Hotel Bel Air, CA. Shepherd has used the services of a professional organizer and spoke about her experiences.

On January 30, 2006, LA's professional organizers dusted off their best dresses, rolled up their sleeves, and organized themselves to honor the best in the field and the best contributors to the organizing profession.
More than 80 guests attended the First Annual Los Angeles Organizing Awards, presented by the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO-LA) and The Container Store. The event was held in the Grand Ballroom at Maggiano's at the Grove in Los Angeles and was attended by local organizing professionals, vendors, and members of the media. National bestselling author Julie Morgenstern was in attendance and was the winner of the award for best book on getting organized.
In addition, a total of fifteen awards were presented at the event, which completed National Get Organized Month in 2006. The evening celebrated outstanding contributions to the organization and productivity profession. Recognition to the media, authors, organizing products, organizing retailers, mentors, charities, and technology providers were just a part of the evening.
Other annual chapter awards were presented, including the prestigious Leading Edge Award, which is given in recognition to a NAPO-LA member whose actions and efforts have elevated the quality or profile of professional organizers.
Members of the National Association of Professional Organizers, Los Angeles Chapter (NAPO-LA) participate in 2006 National Get Organized Month by volunteering their time to organize and streamline the non-profit administrative offices of the National Council of Jewish Women in Los Angeles. Over 5 dozen members donated hands-on organizing hours in reception, accounting, client services, call center, storage closets, and the operation office of their Thrift Store.

NAPO Los Angeles and KCBS-TV team up for Mothers Day in 2006 to organize Costa Mesa, California resident Taffy Dalby of Operation Interdependence. Professional Organizers at the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers volunteered their time to create a processing system in Taffy's family garage so her family and friends could safely prepare care packages for the troops in Iraq.
